Baby Please Don't Go Lyrics
Baby, please don't go
Baby, please don't go
Baby, please don't go
Down to New Orleans
You know I love you so
Baby, please don't go
Baby, your mind done gone
Well, your mind done gone
Well, your mind done gone
Left the county farm
You had the shackles on
Baby, please don't go
Before I be your dog
Before I be your dog
Before I be your dog
To git you way down here
I make you walk alone
Baby, please don't go
Hey
Baby, please don't go
Baby, please don't go
Baby, please don't go
Down to New Orleans
You know I love you so
Baby, please don't go
Before I be your dog
Before I be your dog
Before I be your dog
Git you way down here
Make you walk alone
Baby, please don't go
Know how I feel right now
My baby leavin', on that midnight train
And I'm cryin'
Baby, please don't go
Oh, baby please don't go
Baby, please don't go
Down to New Orleans
You know I love you so
Baby, please don't go
Let's go
Before I be your dog
Before I be your dog
Before I be your dog
To git you way down here
I make you walk alone
Baby, please don't go, yeah
Alright
Baby, please don't go
Baby, please don't go
Down to New Orleans
You know I love you so
Baby, please don't go
Well, your mind done gone
Well, your mind done gone
Left the county farm
You had the shackles on
Baby, please don't go
Before I be your dog
Before I be your dog
To git you way down here
I make you walk alone
Baby, please don't go
Hey
Baby, please don't go
Baby, please don't go
Down to New Orleans
You know I love you so
Baby, please don't go
Before I be your dog
Before I be your dog
Git you way down here
Make you walk alone
Baby, please don't go
My baby leavin', on that midnight train
And I'm cryin'
Oh, baby please don't go
Baby, please don't go
Down to New Orleans
You know I love you so
Baby, please don't go
Let's go
Before I be your dog
Before I be your dog
To git you way down here
I make you walk alone
Baby, please don't go, yeah

how has nobody commented on this song yet? It's great.
does anyone else think his voice sounds like jagger on this particular song?
I spent many years thinking that this was a Stones song after I heard it on Good Morning Vietnam.
Just going to throw in that this is a song Morrison did with his band Them, before he went solo.
Also, I highly recommend you look into some of their stuff. It's excellent.
There are many covers of this song.
Including this one. Old blues number, done by hundreds if not thousands of artists. Fair guess is that Them picked it up from Muddy Waters.
He hasn't lost a step after all these years.
