Frontline Lyrics

It's not like I'm walking alone into the valley of the shadow of death
Stand beside one another, 'cause it ain't over yet
I'd be willing to bet that if we don't back down
You and I will be the ones that are holding the Crown in the end

When it's over, we can say, "Well done"
But not yet, 'cause it's only begun
So, pick up, and follow me, we're the only ones
To fight this thing, until we've won
We drive on and don't look back
It doesn't mean we can't learn from our past
All the things that we mighta done wrong
We could've been doing this all along

Chorus
Everybody, with your fists raised high
Let me hear your battle cry tonight
Stand beside, or step aside
We're on the frontline

And we'll be carrying on, until the day it doesn't matter anymore
Step aside, you forgot what this is for
We fight to live, we live to fight
And tonight, you'll hear my battle cry

We live our lives on the frontlines
We're not afraid of the fast times
These days have opened up my eyes
And now, I see where the threat lies

Chorus

We've got to lead the way

Chorus

anyone who doesn't think this song is about Christianity is flipping stupid. the direct quote from the bible in the very first line is a pretty good indication of the song's meaning

Well what does Frontline mean? to be in the front of battle, to be willing to give your life, knowing that you will probably die for whatever you are fighting for. In the case of this song its about fighting for God, FIghting for the King.

i dont think it doesnt mean that they are probably gonna die for what they are fighting for, it means to have the bravery and trust in god to know that u wont die, and that u will succeed the trail, shown when he says "I'd be willing to bet that if we don't back down You and I will be the ones that are holding the Crown in the end"

This song is a lot like the song Echelon on their previous record. These types of songs are the songs of our generation. We know things aren't the best, but we still have Jesus Christ to hold on to throughout everything. I only hope that all of us who profess to be Born Again Christians reallly stand on the 'frontline' of a world that needs Christ. Peace out!

Ok hear this - "Its not like im walking alone into the valley in the shadow of death." He's not afraid to die because 'god' is with him "stand side one another kuz it aint over yet." No matter what we're always together, because even in death you go to heaven The fight thats being talked about is the fight of our lives - the fight between good n evil, god n satan whats really sad is i love this band but im atheist and despise god... ironic, no?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't and Atheist believe there is no God? How can you despise Him if you don't believe in Him?

he's right, you got Pwnt and your 'religious' belief is obviously wrong, let me guess, you heard about Atheism from a mate who heard it from their uncle jerry, and he picked it up in a bar in texas?

if your atheist there is no 'GOD' for you to despise GTFO the bandwagon and make your own decisions

The song, in my opinion, is about Army Rangers.

It's not like I'm walking alone into the valley of the shadow of death Stand beside one another, 'cause it ain't over yet

Not afraid of their mission, always have their brothers by their side no matter what.

I'd be willing to bet that if we don't back down You and I will be the ones that are holding the Crown in the end When it's over, we can say, "Well done" But not yet, 'cause it's only begun

Never give up, never surrender. Fight day and night to get their mission done, much praise from civilians and fellow soldiers for doing their mission and helping the community.

So, pick up, and follow me, we're the only ones To fight this thing, until we've won We drive on and don't look back It doesn't mean we can't learn from our past All the things that we mighta done wrong We could've been doing this all along

Like I said, keep fighting until they have won. Never give up. Learning from their past because with error comes experience and knowledge.

Everybody, with your fists raised high Let me hear your battle cry tonight Stand beside, or step aside We're on the frontline

Self Explanatory

And we'll be carrying on, until the day it doesn't matter anymore Step aside, you forgot what this is for We fight to live, we live to fight And tonight, you'll hear my battle cry We live our lives on the frontlines We're not afraid of the fast times These days have opened up my eyes And now, I see where the threat lies

They live to fight for freedom, they're infantry. Always in the front where the enemy can face them toe-to-toe.

We've got to lead the way!

In the Army, the Infantry motto is Follow Me. Army Rangers - RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!
