My favorite devendra banhart song. It's a great album opener, and yet it's brilliant on its own too.
it's "i serve my sentence" not "share my sentence"
I feel as if it's about normality and structure. The end is a declaration of denouncing the normal and daily structure- "We had a choice, we chose rejoice"-possibly in that one line my life is summed up.

I love this song! it is amazing, the way it makes me feel so warm inside when i hear it, it's so comforting. Devendra's voice is amazing, it begins off quivering and whispy and gradually becomes stronger and punctuates certain lines. Oh i love him.
