Dog Park Lyrics
Out here, we don't hear anything
But the clicking of the rain
Against the leaves
And the way each other breathes
But you gotta listen
Make this home
We've never, we've never had one
Out here we turn out all the lights
And sit inside looking out
And the bay's still
Yeah, she's wearing the night's expression
But you gotta feel it
Make this home
We never, we never had one
We never, we never had one
So lets stop calling this a vacation
We're just here for two nights
Count the beats of your heart
And no city streets to break up cars
We can lie here, and we can lie here
We want no one and no one comes
Every song plays just for us
We want no one and no one comes
We got it.
Make this home
We never, we never had one
We never, we never had one
So lets stop calling this a vacation
Make this home
We never, we never had one
We never, we never had one
So lets stop calling this a vacation
But the clicking of the rain
Against the leaves
And the way each other breathes
But you gotta listen
We've never, we've never had one
And sit inside looking out
And the bay's still
Yeah, she's wearing the night's expression
But you gotta feel it
We never, we never had one
We never, we never had one
So lets stop calling this a vacation
Count the beats of your heart
And no city streets to break up cars
We can lie here, and we can lie here
Every song plays just for us
We want no one and no one comes
We got it.
We never, we never had one
We never, we never had one
So lets stop calling this a vacation
We never, we never had one
We never, we never had one
So lets stop calling this a vacation

This is how I feel right now as I sit in my flat in Oxford, three weeks away from being back in the US for an indefinite period. I just wish this was home.
correction: We want no-one and no-one comes, every song plays just for us we got it
"and the bay's still, she's wearing the nights expression." It's so simple but so great. I just love the themes of the bay and drinking.
Corrections, as far as I can tell:

my boyfriend knew i absolutely adored minus the bear but i couldn't buy their cds anywhere. he downloaded all their cds for me while i was out of town. he also put this one on a mix cd he made for me. this is one of my favourite songs in the world.
I looooove the bass line at the start.. well it goes for a while, but daamn its awesome.
It's so poetic, beautiful melody and beautiful lyrics. How perfect.
there is a setting, a scene, a mood, a script, a soundtrack. mtb is truely gifted.
I think it's actually "Yeah, she's wearing the nights expression but you gotta feel it"
