yes but nofx coverd it on the byo slpit series, though nofx basically speeded up rancids songs and added more riffs and changes, and rancid slowed down nofx's and made them simpiler(except the bass!)
in my opinion nofx have always been great at doing covers ('spaghetti motel', 'last caress', 'vincent') as they seem to add a little of their own material to them and completly re work them, not just cover them straight off.
