Chariots Rise Lyrics
I never felt this way before
I've seen so many islands
I never felt this way before
In this song here I describe him
The chariots rise up high in the sky
What a fool am I to fall so in love
What a wonderful dream it seems to be
'Cause I love him
I took the notes of past excursions
And I read them through once more
Only to find them hard aversions
From the one true love in store
The chariots rise up high in the sky
What a fool am I to fall so in love
What a wonderful dream it seems to be
'Cause I love him
Though I have waited long
And they have all been wrong
Now I find in the end
With him I need not pretend
The chariots
They rise up high in the sky
What a fool am I to fall so in love
What a wonderful dream it seems to be
'Cause I love him
'Cause I love him
I've seen so many islands
I never felt this way before
In this song here I describe him
What a fool am I to fall so in love
What a wonderful dream it seems to be
'Cause I love him
And I read them through once more
Only to find them hard aversions
From the one true love in store
What a fool am I to fall so in love
What a wonderful dream it seems to be
'Cause I love him
And they have all been wrong
Now I find in the end
With him I need not pretend
The chariots
What a fool am I to fall so in love
What a wonderful dream it seems to be
'Cause I love him

this song always makes me happy (the kind of happy that's just so nauseatingly joyful that it makes you want to gouge your own eyes out). it's on the 'secretary' soundtrack, and plays as they finally give themselves over to the love they deserved. it sounds gross and sappy, but it's really beautiful.
everything about this song is beautiful.
pretty straightforward love song; the bewilderment of being truly in love for the first time with someone that really understands you, yada yada yada.
lovely.
Yeah, I first heard this song after seeign Secretary too. I thought it was cool at the end and fit in good. I love the singer's vocal range. To me the song is about a girl finally finding someone to love who is worth loving.
Secretary = Hott.
I love the bit in Secretary when this song starts playing! In the version on the film soundtrack though, the lyrics are, 'What grace have I to fall so in love', because the director didn't want it to imply that Lee was being foolish (according to the Internet Movie Database).
I love it. It's VERY cliche, but the music is so pretty. I wish I could find it on Limewire though... =(
Perfect at the end of Secretary, love it :)
Oh, by the way, the only good thing about this song (besides the fact that it is in a good movie), is the music. The lyrics are cliche, predictable and sentimental crap. She sings the crap well, though.
@artslut yeah... it's cliche, predictable and sentimental crap, but... people in love are exactly that... cliche, predictable and sentimental crap, right?
