For me this is lovely tune about the pressures of being perfect and liked by everybody. But it's so hard to go in depth to 'Spree songs, because the music is so damn swoonable!
I've always thought they sung 'It's all inside, you will find', whatever.. this is a great great song from a lovely band!
I think it is interesting looking at the 3 things you've gotta be
good - everyone strives to be good, and it is possible to make changes to your life and become better.
strong - also something that people can strive for and become stronger.
2000 places at once - this is the kicker. No one can be 2000 places at once. As auxocrome said, people have too much pressure to be perfect, and to achieve unattainable goals.
Then the song ends again with the apocalyptic message that time will go away...and all that will be left is love.

How amazingly poetic switching the nouns in these sentences. Logic would say 'It takes the sun to make the moon; It takes the sidewalk to burn my feet." I don't know what the technical name is for this rearrangement, but I like it.
