This song is an ode to one of Alices favorite shows, The Simpsons. In an episode, Bart is sitting in his bed in the middle of the night saying "can't sleep, clowns will eat me". I'm sure Alice watched the episode, heard the line, found it hysterical and wrote this song. Simple as that.

This song isn't call Clowns Will Eat Me. It's title is, "Can't Sleep, Clowns Will Eat Me." Which is 1/2 lame because when you search for it, it doesn't come up. At one point this song was a Japan-only release.

this song reminds me of a guy i no. we wer walkin 2 geva an i spotted sum dude wearin a clownmask and laughed, pointin it to out him. He turnd white as a sheet and then mutterd that he didn like clowns...... oops..... Neway its all about the irrational fears we get. I think its a fear of humiliation but i will go wiv wot my mate and Aerosmithlover say "Clowns are evil" if anyone els is scard of (or just plain despises) clowns i will refer you to www.ihateclowns.com me i always thought that clowns were funny, if quite irritating.... xxx
