Seconded. Someone is pushing their luck and losing face to the singer(s). They love to hear themselves talk and believe their own shit. So there's no point in reasoning with them and people like them. Love it
I think it's a song aimed at all those who lie to you (not even to your face 'cause they're cowards) and you waste years on that lie and you will forever hate them. And when they attempt to continue the manipulation for their own personal gain, you want to spit in their faces. But since you can't do that, you laugh whenever they find someone new 'cause it's on the same ol' schedule and it will come to the same ol' ending and it's what makes them ever so boring. It's an angry song, but relevant. I like it!
And then you laugh some more 'cause they fall into the same routine...run off to change the tracks on their thousands of pages. Someone please tell 'em they died years ago but they just haven't realized it. They tossed in the towel on life and settled for the cheap; the easy; the least rewarding; the instant less-than-gratifying; the temporary thrills; then hide behind music which was once a full-blooded passion, but is now just a crux...a safe habit that prevents actual living.
