1000 Mirrors (feat. Sinead O'Connor) Lyrics

A scream, a shout far in the distance
Maybe the first or second floor
And curtains colour in the windows
Never seen behind closed doors

A silent sage behind the lightness
Domestic harmony for sure
Now send the mirrors of the marriage
Outside a world she'll never know

And as I see through the building
I'm falling straight into
A thousand broken mirrors, I can't hide

And outside the bright lights can't hide the pain inside
And I've broken a thousand mirrors, now its time

Loving your children with a passion
Protecting them at any cost
Taking the only course of action
There's no more bridges left to cross

Who are the ones who are the guilty?
Who are the ones who wear the scars?
We must not leave our sisters bleeding
We sing this song for civil action

And as I stare through that window
I'm falling straight into a thousand broken mirrors, I can't hide

And outside the bright lights can't hide the pain inside
And I've broken a thousand mirrors, now its time

Hi Sinead fans. The chorus melody of 1000 Broken Mirrors seems to have been nicked from a melody I happened to discover on my own when I was listening to some lounge tracks and chanced upon THIS gem, which is almost assuredly where the inspiration came from. I'd bet even money this is not a coincidence: Check it out for fun. It's a track by a guy named Giacomo Bondi "Lonely Beach": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb_0MwiP2VE

@averiguar Although the track you found is retro-sounding, it was released in 2013, ie. ten years after this one. If it's not a simple coincidence, the "inspiration" must have travelled the other way.
