what a great song...i live in alaska, and the long winters really can get you down. this song is probably the first ever written about seasonal affective disorder,or sad. a condition some people get during the dark winter season when you become depressed due to the lack of light. further proof: look at the first letters of the second, third and fourth words... Sweet Annie, Don't = S.A.D. =Seasonal Affective Disorder just remember: don't take it so bad, you know the summer's coming soon!

I totally feel the whole depressing feeling of winter. Its my favorite season, but it makes me sad at the same time.
I think this song is great. It kinda summarizes the winter of my senior year, when my GF was away at college. We were just looking fwd to the summer when all the crap would be done with.
I love that line "Your daddy told you, when you were a girl, the kind of things that come to those who wait." I think it's a great lyrical change on the old saying, it forces the listener to do a little bit of work to understand it. I think these guys write great music. Good stuff!

This song deserves an '08 comment. Its getting cold here in pennsylvania, and soon I'll be counting on this song to remind me that the winter won't last forever.
this song deserves TWO '08 comments. it IS cold here in PA (where i am also, lol) now and this song always makes winter and the cold a little bit more bearable. plus it's december so i need something to listen to during the short days, and this song is absolutely PERFECT :)
