    General CommentI see this song as being about a mislead teen who is lured into using drugs and the effects it has on him/her. Something along those lines.

    General Commentit really is never good unless it`s great. i agree with JBValo on the drugs part.
    notice the 'Does the darkness fill you up'
    and then the 'Did the darkness let you down'
    the dependence relating to getting high / coming off drugs.

    General Commenti would say it is more about depression and insomnia that goes along with it. the idea of living for the night because that is when you are able to be alone, but still it is always a let down come morning and will only make the next day extremely hard to get through and make you appear strange. But such a situation could easily be caused by drugs or a relationship someone got in too quickly and couldnt handle:
