This song is definately about someone saying "i love you" just to say it , or to get some gain out of it. Guy tells a girl this so he can have sex with her, girl tells guy this so he will get her whatever, etc. The songwriter in the end feels cheated, betrayed, and overall screwed over, becuase they probably felt real love.
