Fun House Lyrics

callin' from the fun house with my song.
we been separated baby far too long.
callin' all you whoop-de pretty things.
shinin' in your freedom come and be my rings.
hold me tight -- callin' from the fun house.
hold me tight -- callin' from the fun house.
yeah, i came to play and i mean to play around.
yeah, i came to play and i mean to play real good.
yeah, i came to play.
little baby girlie, little baby boy.
cover me with lovin' in a bundle o' joy.
do i care to show you what i'm dreamin' of.
do i dare to whoop ya with my love.
every little baby knows just what i mean livin' in division in a shiftin' scene.
hold me tight -- callin' from the fun house.
hold me tight -- callin' from the fun house.
yeah, i came to play.
i came to play.
we been separated.
we been separated.
a little too long.
yeah, i came to play.
yeah, fun house boy will steal your heart away.
yeah, fun house boy will steal your heart away.
steal.
i came to play.
i came to play.
i came to play... baby.
yeah, i came to play.
i came to play

I love the way this goes into L.A. Blues.. you dont get the full effect unless you listen to 1970, funhouse, and L.A. blues back to back.

Are you kidding me? I'm the first to comment. This is probably the best cut The Stooges ever laid down! I love the sax. This song just rocks like hell and I don't think any band can pull off anything that sounds remotely close to this. Truly an amazing song.

I agree. There is an unhinged and infernal quality to this song - and the sax is a big part of it...

I always heard it as: "ALL MANKIND - callin' from the FUN HOUSE..."

rather than "Hold on tight..."

I guess only James Osterberg knows for sure...

This song makes me boogie every time I hear it. I certainly for writing lyrics for Raw Power, he was sitting snorting rocks of Chinese heroin under an oak tree in Kensington Gardens, but with this song in particular,it seems a bit different. You can hear iggy control the group, coming and going as he pleases. I think it's unbefuckinglievable. I love the way he screams "BLOW STEVE" iniating the onslaught of sax. With Fun House, it's like iggy is conducting his orchestra of punk sax fusion (if that even makes sense). A truly original and unique record,a total one off piece of musicality that has changed my life forever.

Blow....
