Trapped Lyrics

Seems like I'm caught up
in your trap
again
Seems like I'll be
wearing the same
old chains
Good will conquer
Evil
And the truth will
set me free
And I know some
day I will find
the key
I know
somewhere I will
find the key
Seems like I've
been playing your
game way too long
Seems the game
I've played has
made you strong
When the game is
over
I won't walk out the
loser
I know I'll walk
out of here again
I know someday
I'll walk out of
here again

Well now I'm
Trapped
OOh yeah
Trapped
OOh Yeah
Trapped

Seems like I've
been sleeping in
your bed too
long
Seems like you've
been meaning to
do me harm
But I'll teach my
eyes to see
Beyond these
walls in front of
me
Someday I'll walk
out of here again
Someday I'll walk
out of here again

Trapped
OOh yeah
Trapped
OOh Yeah
Trapped
OOh Yeah
Trapped
OOh Yeah

Seems like I've
been playing your
game way too long
Seems the game
I've played has
made you strong

Trapped
OOh yeah
Trapped
OOh Yeah
Trapped
OOh Yeah
Trapped
OOh Yeah

Awsome live song about how he is stuck in a relationship. Even though he can't stand this woman he still stays with her for some reason unknown to me.

the 'unkown' reasons are his kids and his financial security. He's waiting until his kids are older... and HE'S GONE!

while I agree with Taaahmm, he should have used "implies" rather than "infers"...

We like "The Boss" because he knows what it's like to be "Born in the USA". Sure, it's great the life we have, but we also have our difficulties along the road toward a more 'perfect union'. Springsteen reminds us of that in so many of his songs. This particular song, "Trapped"... How might it be interpreted by most any Black person living in the USA? Hmm... I just want to get closer to its real meaning.

My Interpretation

I think it's about addiction relapse. Alcohol or drugs. But then again, being on a receiving end in an abusive relationship isn't so much different. You know it's bad, you hope to quit but don't know how, yet.
