Heal Me, I'm Heartsick Lyrics
Heal me, I'm heartsick
I'm hungry and I'm broken
I'm haunted, and weeping
The blood of heaven flowing like a river tonight
Tears I can't fight on my own
I'm a haunted, heathen, I'm hung and barely breathing
The drowning ocean, snuff the sun in motion.
There's a pill on my tongue, a shot from a gun, the bottle's bottom
I'm lonely as a star.
Chorus
[So] Heal me, I'm heartsick
Hungry, but I can survive on you
Heal my heartsick hungry cries
I'm heartsick
Father, free me.
Mama, woman, feed me.
Child of fury, lost his way but don't worry.
I won't stop til the dawn,
Though I'm in too long on the run, I grow strong
And restless as a storm.
Chorus
Heal me, I'm heartsick
I'm hungry and I'm broken
I'm haunted, and weeping
The blood of heaven flowing like a river tonight
Tears I can't fight on my own

even if this band is just for the movie, you have to admit they kick ass. this song by far is the best song in the movie.
I like this song pretty well. Nice lyrics. And of course, used in School of Rock.
I love this song. And the other one by "No Vacancy" that's also on the School of Rock Soundtrack. But does this group only have these two songs? Nowhere I can find an album by this band. I'd like to hear more of them.
its not a real band it was made for the movie skool of rock dikhead SPW
No Vacancy a fictional band fronted by Adam Pascal (aka "Theo"). (yes, the original Broadway Roger Davis in RENT.) If you wanna hear more of his awesome voice (including craploads of falsetto which makes me smile my ass off), go buy yourself a copy of either of (preferably both) his solo albums "Civilian" and "Model Prisoner" and take a listen and melt because he's that good. He was also the original and closing cast Radames in AIDA as well as the closing cast Emcee in Cabaret (take a listen to "Willkommen"!!) and Freddie in the Actor's Benefit Fund version of Chess (and does an EXCELLENT "Pity the Child" and "One Night in Bangkok"). And also a few other projects, major and minor, he's worked on such as his pre-RENT band MUTE who did my fave song that he's sung entitled "Divine" (it's in the style of this song, actually, which is why I mention it) and also the short-lived Adam Pascal Band (APB)...
BTW, the lyrics presented here are not accurate, Adam sings "heathen", not "heaving". That bugged me very much... But this song... Wow. I recognized the fabulous Mr Pascal when I first saw this movie and everyone thought I was stupid or something... Then he did the RENT movie and everyone magically knows who he is. I love this song very much... It's always felt really almost like a suicidal song about wanting love really bad... And Mr Pascal's voice REALLY compliments the lyrics very well... He puts in just enough angst and edge to make the song work and it's simply beautiful. (but then again, I've been practically obsessed w. his voice for the past like eight years. ^_^)
I think it goes "Thought I could survive" instead of "but I could survive".
I can't believe a fictional band cam make such an awesome.
Isnt it supposed to be "thought i could survive on you" ?
