Spoonfed Lyrics

Forces in my mind
Talking all the time
Don't let the home fires burn away
Spoonfed mush and jam
Spoonfed peas and ham
And all the medicine they can

And I'm stuck in this place
I never wanted to be here
You gotta help me mom and dad
I never wanted to be here
They lock me in my room
They think I'm crazy
But if you had all these rules
You would be crazy too

Forces in my mind
Talking all the time

And I'm stuck in this place
I never wanted to be here
You gotta help me mom and dad
I never wanted to be here
They lock me in my room
They think I'm crazy...
Crazy... crazy...

I just love this song. It's the most excellent one to start MP3. The first time I heard it, I was like, what is this? Then I listened to it several more times, and I think it's brilliant. A lot of people put MP3 down, think it isn't as good as the others, but they are so wrong.

Seems like he's in a nuthouse, really. Might be a metaphor for childhood in some way, impossible to know really.

To me it seems like he's singing about being a child, and put up for adoption and his new parents are very strict and evil, so hes calling out for help and trying not to forget about his home

When I hear this song, some times I think of a mental institution or a drug rehabilitation center. Other times; childhood, although that seems less possible because he says "they" think he is "crazy" and he's calling out for "mom & dad".....
