This song is a great song even though i have no idea what chris is feeling or trying to say. Its uhm.. well confusing.
But this line is awesomely brilliant " Maybe even pawn my fears"

where is this song from? i freakin love it
It's a song that was recorded for "In Reverie" but wasn't put on the album. It's very odd and enjoyable to listen to. Chris is a KRAZY man.
the song is a lot better then most of the songs on In Reverie. it makes me sad when i think of how great Saves the Day's music was TBC-SWYA era. sure, maturity and growth but there is no denying that Chris used to have so much emotion and power in his voice before, and the music used to convey so much more feeling. now they are very subdued and the lyrics aren't even coherent anymore.
i think what chris is trying to say here is that 'you are not what you would pay' - money is not everything. cliche but true. hes offering to sell his eyes and his arms and possibly even his fears to get what he wants, material items. it is one of the better in reveri songs, although it took me until recently to even give in reverie a chance. im a fan, but i am not happy with the direction theyve taken. im sorry im leaving was such a beautiful ep, and tbc swya, all progressively got slower since csd, so its nbo surprise that in reverie was a put you to sleep album... still a fan though..
well, chris can't sing like he used to anymore because of his throat. i'm not sure what happened but he physically isn't able to sing as aggressively as he did on the previous albums.
in reverie still has wonderful lyrics, it's way softer, but like oh_sometimes_nj said, they gradually slowed down.
i think oh_sometimes_nj prettymuch covered the meaning of this song. too bad it wasn't on the in reverie cd..

I'm pretty sure this song is just referencing how materialistic society is becoming...
... On a side note, I can't believe how many people don't like "In Reverie", it's far more musically sophisticated and evolved than any of Chris' stuff prior to it's release... either way I hope "In Reverie" actually gets a rerelease with all of the b-sides included someday
