Aisha Lyrics
Aisha
We're only just men
And I think you ought to know
I'm a murderer
Babies need blood
I have a portrait on my wall
He's a serial killer
I thought he wouldn't escape
Aisha
He got out
We live in a cemetery
A cold and barren place
And science runs with us
Making us Gods
The rules are all wrong
Every perversion is justified
The iron people eat dead bodies
Anything goes around here
I still want to to be human
What am I?
What am I?
I'm a murderer
Aisha
I'm confused
Aisha
I'm vibrating
The Gods all suck
We're only just men
And I think you ought to know
I'm a murderer
Babies need blood
He's a serial killer
I thought he wouldn't escape
Aisha
He got out
A cold and barren place
And science runs with us
Making us Gods
The rules are all wrong
Every perversion is justified
The iron people eat dead bodies
Anything goes around here
What am I?
What am I?
I'm a murderer
I'm confused
Aisha
I'm vibrating

This song is about a person (regular person - not a killer/psycho/military) realizing that the world we live in is still a place of destruction and death and that he has played a part in it.
The portrait is someone he once respected even though he always knew they used the lives of others. Somebody like a powerful religious/government/business leader.
He is not talking to a person named Aisha. He is using Aisha as an exclamation/prayer (Aisha means life). Kind of like an agnostic version of "my God".
I believe following lines are currently wrong:
We've only just met, (we're only just men) Babies and blood (that is not 'and' but what is it? mean?) 'n' I thought he wouldn't escape. (no 'n') Cold and daring a'place. (cold and barren place) They honestly believe dead bodies. (may? our? people? eat dead bodies)
there are multiple capitalization and punctuation mistakes
i think it's about somebody with split personality.
I have a portrait on my wall. He's a serial killer. 'n' I thought he wouldn't escape. Aisha, he got out.
here, i think he's looking at a picture of himself/lookig in the mirror, i thought he wouldn't escape - he's been repressing it, but the other persoanlity actually escaped.
and WE live in a cemetary - we?
hm, maybe i'm wrong. great song though!
Two meanings, for me:
1) A murderer on death row. "I'm confused, I'm vibrating" is him getting electrocuted (listen to the noises he makes right after that, sounds like someone being electrocuted).
"science makes us gods" - We created high-tech methods of execution, and we're playing god
"we live in a cemetery" could be a reference to prison.
OR
2) More of a half comedic, half terrifying horror story, where he's a deranged killer who is talking to his next victim
"Aisha, he got out" sounds very Jekyll/Hyde, as if he has no control over his serial killer self
"science runs through us, making us gods" is very Frankensteinian, classic science vs. nature horror theme
"I'm confused, I'm vibrating" is just the murderer being insane, confused at his own hallucinations/derangement, yet exhilarated, too. Sounds like both a plea for help and an ecstatic exclamation
it means the world to me! i mean look at it.
sorry not the most useful comment..
Catchiest guitar riff ever.
something about dead people rising from the grave maybe? i mean The rules are all wrong. Every perversion is justified. They honestly believe dead bodies. Anything goes around here.
I still want to to be human. But what am I? What am I?! I'm a murderer. maybe a serial killer risen from the grave?
that would explain "babies and blood" but what about the portrait on the wall?
you know i meant abortions... spelling error, meh..
isnt this about a skitsophrenic? n isnt the portrait suppost to be a mirror n the othe side of him is a serial killer n he ends up killing himself
I like rob_e123's thought about this song. It kind of makes sense about a schizo who realizes that his other personality is a murderer and as he realizes that as he is losing control over himself he commits suicide.
