as the rush comes Lyrics

traveling somewhere
could be anywhere
there's a coldness in the air
but i don't care
we drift deeper
and life goes on
we drift deeper
into the sound

traveling somewhere
could be anywhere
theres a coldness in the air
but i dont care
we drift deeper into the sound
life goes on
we drift deeper into the sound
feeling strong
so bring it on
so bring it on..

embrace me
surround me
as the rush comes

repeat x3

so bring it on
so bring it on...
we drift deeper into the sound
life goes on
we drift deeper into the sound
feeling strong
so bring it on

surround me

This song is DEFINETLY 100% about rolling.

When you're rolling, as you're peaking, you feel a STRONG, fast build-up. A rush.

"Coldness in the air"

No one has said this -- I think this is the social anxiety / negativity one can feel in a crowd situation, specifically when tripping/getting high, but also just in general. Just the desire to not give a shit about the coldness of the people around you, trying to take away your newfound warmth.

This sensation of "I don't care", while it might seem universal, is very specific to tripping/rushes. The idea of being aware how insane you might be coming off as, but genuinely making the choice not to care -- not because you're too far gone, but because you finally realize the absurdity of negativity.

My Interpretation

@AndrewVS Additionally she's describing traveling, and this line is said right after, as if to comment on her surroundings, prior to rising to the rush -- and how little the coldness affects her (yet how she needs to be embraced later, possibly to counter that coldness).

Yeah, i like it alot. My girlfriend had this song on her mixed CD and i just fell in love with it..and her. But thats neither here nor there. She says it is about rolling on Extasy or 'beans'..whatever. In the video it shows a guy assed out and wanting to drink water because apparently thats how you feel when you're taking those pills. Supposedly theres also a 'rush' when you eat those, I've never taken them and i can't enterpret the song in any other legitemate way

I don't know.. the lyrics would seem stupid at first but combined with the song you'll get a masterpiece! seriously

this song is definately about ecstacy. do ecstacy and you'll understand. but more importantly, this song really sucks. my friends and i used to play this song at our motel parties, because the girls always wanted to hear it... and it got so annoying hearing this song 3248792308902 times a night. fuck this song.

I can understand how it can get old, just like ecstasy can get old, but if you don't listen to it too often......well especially if you're rolling, but even if you're not, the tiesto mix is almost orgasmic. That sense of being lost in the music and surrendering to whatever may come, the beautiful innocence of a good roll, where you're reduced to a sense of wonder of everything makes life worth living.
