This song makes me think of when I first started going out with my boyfriend. I'm super shy around him even though I want to tell him that I really do love him. I agree w Novartza on the idea that her boyfriend is unsure whether she really loves him or not, but she really does. It seems to me like this this is almost internal dialogue, like this is what shes thinking. But i always think about this when my boyfriend holds me...the closer w get the better I really do feel...even if we're both a little nervous, but thats ok.
This song is a bonus (aka "ghost") track on Dido's new album, "Life For Rent." It's the most beautiful song of this album IMHO.

What a great song. Being that it is a "ghost track," I wonder if it was added at the last minute. It is a very simple song--yet beautiful.
he's leaving. going far, far away, but he's come back to see her one last time before he goes. it's ironic that "there's no need to hurry; take your time, i'll still be here" because he won't be. she knows he has to go. he hasn't told her in so many words, but he's serious and they both know that it's now. she won't accept it and wants it to last forever. she's been meaning to tell him, but now she won't ever be able to because he's gone.
I agree that it's a friendship, developing into more. I think outside influences have forced them to admit that they have more than they were willing to admit, and now they are facing their feelings head on.
