this song reminds me of my mother of how she died and we never saw eye to eye,always arguing and such,I never took the tiem to tell her i appreciated her.We shall have no meeting place and time..However
It's about two old friends who agree to meet to make amends but they both back out at the last minute in attempt to stand the other one up. Both of them would believe that the other one showed up, though neither of them ever did, and neither of them would ever know.
At "the time" the "meeting place" remained vacant, though each person would always look back and imagine the other person, waiting for them, and eventually getting up and leaving.
