Ok, I've kind of got this figured out... kinda.

So obviously a guy 'beats' the devil. The devil then came back and caused a car crash that kill his girlfriend/wife. And thus the devil had it's revenge. The only thing I can't figure out is what the devil is. It may be literal, but I doubt it. I think the devil is either drugs or alcohol (isn't it always). The line "and she only stayed for one night" is like he slipped and ended up doing it again. And of course, being intoxicated/high he crashed resulting in the death of the "pretty girl" who was thrown out of his bed.
