This song is about the dynamic between kids and parents, and the true reasons behind their acting up. From the father's initial point of view, the kids are acting up solely because they think it's funny to watch their parents lose it, but when it comes down to it, their behavior stems from their love for their father, and is actually more of an attempt to get his attention.

Sounds like this song is about a father complaining that his kids are misbehaving and he’s going to take the belt to them. Just that. I don’t see anything deeper like the other commenter suggests.
