Whiskey Rose Lyrics
yes i got your address from a friend
it was a matter of life and death
something i needed off my chest
so can we meet tonight
but i don't wanna fight
don't wanna leave till we're alright
remembering everything that was said
remembering went right straight to my head
then there's regret
that we don't have
but it comes down to saying it
no you don't have the minute to spare
no you don't think we need to repair
all those things that we are missing
cause you know there's something missing
i sit and watch the clock on the wall
as it counts down the end of my life
it leaves a bad taste in my mouth
like sending letters with no reply
but i don't wanna fight
don't wanna leave til we're alright
remembering everything that was said
remembering went right straight to my head
then there's your regret
that we don't have
and it's your voice
that i don't hear
and it's the life
we could have had
but it comes down to saying it
no you don't have the minute to spare
no you don't think we need to repair
all those things that we are missing
cause you know there's something missing
i am the culprit in all of this
i deserve this but
to be honest
i'm ready
to take back everything i said
it was all just in my head
it was all just in my head
no you don't have the minute to spare
no you don't think we need to repair
all those things we are missing
cause you know there's something missing
it was a matter of life and death

.... quite possibly the best acoustic track nfg have done :P, very mature but catchy. Songs rather relevent to me right now, especially "i sit and watch the clock on the wall as it counts down the end of my life " ... (mid-teen crisis lol). Think the song is about an old friend that they have fallen out and the person is willing to accept blame for whats happened and deperately wants to make it right, but the other one isn't too willing.
i love this. kicks ass. wonder why its not on catalyst? oh well it will be on sumthin.

i think that this song is about a fight and jordan was mean to someone. well the person is never going to forgive him, no matter what he says or does.
tisk tisk jordan!

i think its about a failed relationship. Steve talks about how a guy doesn't want to fight anymore with his ex (who could have been a friend before)(i don't wanna fight, don't wanna leave til we're alrite) in a letter he sends to her because she left him. About regrets and what could have been. (the life we could of had).
wow, that was pretty good explaination lol. i normally don't get lyrics straight away when i hear them.
I agree with Peppermin on this one. My partner, my soulmate, my angel, decided that she needed to be apart from me and moved out from our home and this sing I can relate to so much - I;m doing my best not to contact her, but I occasionally write her letters, that never get posted - they all follow the same lines as this song, but they never get sent... it's a venting thing really (and no, i'm not some 17 year old emo appreciating youngster, I'm 33, an _origional punk (exploited anybody) man who knows what he likes in music)
Seen NFG twice since we broke up and have got to say - I never really appreciated there music as much as I do at the moment.
Sing=song by the way, too much vodka makes the bsg a sloppy typist!
Great song, it is about a fight some time ago two friends had, one of them wants to talk about it to leave it all clear and apologize, but the other one doesn't want to. One of my favorite NFG songs from now.
