21st Century Schizoid Man (King Crimson cover) Lyrics
cat's foot iron claw
neuro-surgeons scream for more
at paranoia's poison door
twenty first schisoid man.
blood rack barbed wire
politicians' funeral pyre
innocents raped with napalm fire
twenty first century schizoid man.
death seed blind man's greed
poets' starving children bleed
nothing he's got he realy needs
twenty first schizoid man.
neuro-surgeons scream for more
at paranoia's poison door
twenty first schisoid man.
politicians' funeral pyre
innocents raped with napalm fire
twenty first century schizoid man.
poets' starving children bleed
nothing he's got he realy needs
twenty first schizoid man.

King Crimson cover.
Sort of obvious, by the title. It's basically centred on a man who has schizoid personality disorder living in modern times. A person with this disorder will often not react or not realize what is going on around them, they are often absorbed with their own thoughts and feelings, and are fearful of closeness and intimacy with others, making them introverted, cold and distant.
This song basically represents how everyone is becoming desensitized by what is happening in the modern world. We care more about ourselves than what is going on in other's lives. When it says 'nothing he's got he really needs', I think it means that he is realizing he is desensitized, and he doesn't need this. He wants to change how he is, but it's impossible to alter what you have been born with: a disorder. In the end, he feels there is no hope for someone like him in this world.
