I turn of the light but leave the television talking
no, tonight I don't want to be alone
I try to close my eyes, but I'm afraid of the dark
I see you everywhere
I see you everywhere
but death comes so slow
when you're waiting
when you're waiting to be taken
death comes so slow
when it's all you want
and it takes the ones that don't
death comes so slow
and death comes so slow
I try to close my eyes, but I'm afraid of the dark
I see you everywhere
I see you everywhere
no, tonight I don't want to be alone
I try to close my eyes, but I'm afraid of the dark
I see you everywhere
I see you everywhere
when you're waiting
when you're waiting to be taken
death comes so slow
when it's all you want
and it takes the ones that don't
death comes so slow
and death comes so slow
I see you everywhere
I see you everywhere

One of the most beautiful and haunting songs ever written. Sums up perfectly the feeling when life is becoming a drag and you feel like the sense of it all has gone. However, noting the lines "it takes the ones that don't" and "I see you everywhere"; plus taking into count that this song comes from the first post God Machine album, it sounds like it was written about the former bass player of The God Machine who died from cancer.
