I am the alien.
Sitting on my front porch step.
Whittling without a care.
Sitting in this rocking chair.
I am the alien!
We are the aliens.
Standing here with our hands down.
Whittling without a care.
Sitting by this rocking chair.
We are the aliens!
Sitting and waiting and waiting and watching and watching and waiting cause I am the alien.
Wishing and hoping and hoping and praying and praying and hoping that we are the aliens.
Hold me down to the floor.
Chains and whips you wish for more.
Hold me down to the floor.
Cause we are the aliens!
Sitting on my front porch step.
Whittling without a care.
Sitting in this rocking chair.
Standing here with our hands down.
Whittling without a care.
Sitting by this rocking chair.
Wishing and hoping and hoping and praying and praying and hoping that we are the aliens.
Hold me down to the floor.
Chains and whips you wish for more.
Hold me down to the floor.
Cause we are the aliens!

This song is about two men who were "abducted" by aliens. One is now a hermit, and one is insane. They think everyone else is an alien, yet they have alienated themselves, thus they are the aliens.
I never thought about it that way. This song makes perfect sense, considering their interest in aliens around the time of recording this. That last vocal section where Joey keeps on singing and singing, and sounds almost mad is pretty much the highlight of it.
