a ghost can be one of two things, in my opinion. either someone who Switched, and is different from how they used to be, or someone who is never really there (even when they're right there). I think this is more about someone changing.... the line "cause time and time again i spoke, and I have spoken to you" makes me think he is the only one who can really reach the person he's singing about.

it's slow and theres piano. the version i have is of him singing it on a radio station while playing the piano. the best part in my opinion is the ending, because theres crescendo but thats just me. also on the version i have, he goes into singing "have yourself a merry little christmas"

Gorgeous song. The lyrics don't make much sense - in a literal sense, it could be about someone who is deluded into thinking he is in love with a ghost! But the ghost could be a metaphor for someone who chooses to isolate themselves from others, so everyone else says they are untrustworthy or not likeable. And now that he loves her, people think that of him as well? Hmm. Just an interpretation. :)
