What the Snowman Learned About Love Lyrics

Hi, I'm Evan, and this is my heart
I am Amy, and this is my heart
I am Chris, this is my heart
I am Torq, this is my heart

How the heart bends
And summer she sends
A sky that refuses to die
With weeds of the sea
That wrap 'round our knees
And a sun too hot to go down
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around

How the heart bends
And summer she sends
A sky that refuses to die
With weeds of the sea
That wrap round our knees
And a sun too hot to go down
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around
You come around

I agree with you there the_mime, but it's written from the snowman's perspective, with the sun eating up the sea and wrapping round our knees implying melting. This negative view of the sun can also be seen in the way in which nature is depicted, as "a sky that refuses to die". Also, "You come around, you come around..." implies the passage of days. It's also worth noting the gender of snowMAN and "summer SHE" sends, almost as if the sun is the female destroying the relationship. With this in mind then, it's almost as if the snowman is being melted by his lover- what the snowman learned about love is that it'll destroy him.

I agree that the thing at the beginning is kind of lame but who cares, this song is fucking great. and way to go, alarm, making yourself soiund like a pretentious asshole. Music is subjective. And in my opinion, this is a very pretty song. Makes me wanna fall asleep on the beach.

good god, i agree with the_mime, the snowman is us! we harden ourselves, we control ourselves to the point that we prevent ourselves from loving sometimes. And when love comes, that's when our heart is bent. ..and love is like the summer, it will melt our hearts, it will melt the snowman,

bejesus, every song on this album is rad, but this is probably the best. The lyrics are simple and cute and the music is sweet

What a great way to start off an album, with all the band members saying "this is my heart". It's like the band is saying, here's what we've got to offer and we're laying it out bare.

This is mostly an instrumental track. Stars have proved themselves not only to be genius lyricists, but amazing instrumetalists.

Will I EVER be this good?

oh, come on, you can't argue that the way it goes from techno and surprises you with strings and piano isn't masterful. it's pop and it's light but it's very calculated.

i think that this song shows the direction of Heart perfectly. After the "this is my heart" intro, it starts into a song that sounds like it could come from Nightsongs, but then hushes into the strings and piano of something else entirely. Like they're saying that album was the Head, this is the Heart.

"You come around You come around You come around" Just when you're trying to forget about that special love of yours, when you finally think you can live your life without them, when you no longer rely on them, then BAM they show up in your life and you are all confuzed.

I love this song, and anyone who doesn't is LAME

i love this..it introduces the album perfectly: if you look at the title "what the snowman learned about love"...a theme of a lot of the songs seems to be not about being hard and wounded, but opening yourself up for love (look at "don't be afraid to sing" and "elevator love letter"). snowman, as in someone whose heart has been frozen from past experience.

i like to think of the part "you come around" as in, eventually you'll come around and not be so jaded by love.

about the intro, yeah, it's pretty lame, but whatever. stars is amazing.
