Your quiet eyes
Your mouth that never tells lies
You've got one hour
It's time you told your story
Eighteen, alone
In love with the answer phone
And too afraid, you're too afraid to fall for anything
And too afraid, much too afraid to sing

I won't pretend that I can't see the end
But it's far away
It's in the distance
We'll find a place
There is a room for two of us
The minutes drag
Then there's a world between us
And I'm too afraid, much too afraid to fall for anything
And I'm too afraid, much too afraid to sing

We all come to an end
And we all end together
We all end together

We all come to an end
And we all end together
We all end together

We all end together
We all end together
We all end together
We all end together

General Commenti think its about falling in love with someone and knowing that the relationship will eventually end, but choosing to kind of overlook it.

General CommentI think it's about being afraid to commit to a relationship because you fear, or know, it will eventually end.

General Comment"and too afraid you're too afraid to fall for anything
and too afraid you're too afraid to sing."

i was listening to the album again after putting it aside for a few months and those words jumped right out at me- i don't know how i missed them before.

i really feel like those lines are written for me, and it's hard to sum up what the song is about unless you've ever been at a place in your life when you stop taking risks because of fear. it makes the "we all end together" a lot more profound and hopeful.

General CommentI think it's about loving, even when you know that eventually, it has to end. The important thing is not being afraid to love, not being afraid to sing.

General CommentI love this song. By 'Don't Be Afraid to Sing', I think they mean 'Don't Be Afraid to Love.' All relationships end in some way, whether it's death or something else, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy the in between.

I love the lines, 'We'll find a place / There is a room for two of us'. It's so..reassuring and sweet.

General Commentyes, i think the meanig is clear : "sing"="love".
its so simple to say "dont be afraid to love", dont be afraid to tel him/her that you love this guy/girl. but everyone knows thats not so simple.
Singing is not a simple game

General CommentIts interesting because on one hand he wants a relationship with her, but on the other hand hes afraid so he tells himself "we all end together." The twist to that, however, is that we end up together when we are dead, and our bodies are all decomposed and taken into the earth.
Its like anytime you are afraid to take a big step, you sit back and tell yourself it will all work out on its own. Sure, it might work out, but then you wont be able to appreciate it, so what was the point of it working out? ya know?
