All The Worst Lyrics

How do we deal with this?
How do we clean up all this mess?
Will there be a future for the latest generation?
Running around, believing the sound,
Is anything loud enough for us to decipher
Making a stand, extending our hand, we must understand
It's the least we can offer those less fortunate than us

There's something about this place
It brings out all the worst
Our history's been disgraced
Who will destroy who first?

I'm balling up my fists
Waiting here defenseless isn't pacifist
It's ignorant, and cannot be allowed
Mybe it's here or maybe it's there,
We're never aware of just how safe we are
Could it be us or could it be them, unable to trust
The information that we need

There's something about this place
It brings out all the worst
Our history's been disgraced
Who will destroy who first?

This time, will we all, live on?
If hurting still exists
Make it go away
The problems that are plaguing you and I the same

This time, will we all, live on?
Causing it to stay
Counting down the days
It's eating at the very core of us

There's something about this place
It brings out all the worst
Our history's been disgraced
Who will destroy who first?

There's something wrong with this place

Man, he really hit the nail on the head with this one. He's basically saying that this world is really fucked up! People trying to destroy each other, "Who will destroy who first?" I also think he may have a slight Bush/Iraq War support line with "Making a stand, extending our hand, we must understand It's the least we can offer those less fortunate than us." Or maybe it's just me...

For some reason this song make me think about nuclear war. "Our history's been disgraced"-Dropping the bomb on Japan. "Who will destroy who first"- about the obsession with nuclear war these days, all these countries bulding bombs and shit. I know, I'm probably way off with this, but that's what comes to mind when I hear this

I'm having a hard time seeing how this song could possibly SUPPORT the Iraq war... it's about how the world we've constructed brings out the worst in human behaviour (and war is one aspect of that behaviour.) When he says,

"Making a stand, extending our hand, we must understand It's the least we can offer those less fortunate than us"

He's just saying the we need to be much more charitable if we want to redeem ourselves. This theme is further reflected in the album's title track, 'Endangered Species.'

He really stabs at the anit-war campaign to. calling pacifists ignorant. Hell yes Volz

wrong eegor, Volz is saying that "waiting here defenseless isn't pacifist, it's ignorant."

He's saying they're not being pacifists, the people who he is talking about simply don't know or care enough to defend themselves.

I think it sounds like he is just saying how messed up the USA is now days. For example, I feel the same way about the usa's debt crisis when he says: "How do we deal with this? How do we clean up all this mess? Will there be a future for the latest generation? Running around, believing the sound, Is anything loud enough for us to decipher Making a stand, extending our hand, we must understand It's the least we can offer those less fortunate than us."
