This song is friggin great. I think the meaning is a bit obvious and I can't wait til the video comes out because its an amazing song and I was at the show they shot the video at. So was Daryl from glassjaw/head automatica and Brandon from Nightmare of you, they are amazing artists. It was shot att he annex in NYC on saturday May 13th, 2006. IATA is amazing, buy their cd now if you do not already own it.

I think this is actually about alcohol. Vinnie was straight-edge for a long time, and let it go only a couple of years ago. "the same doctor helped me back to my feet and said to me, 'i'll see you in two weeks'" What gets rid of a bad hang-over? more booze.
I always thought the first part (2003) was about The Movielife being involved in that large crash, but I'm not sure now.
I can imagine them updating the lyrics in the final verse to whatever year it is on tour, haha.
