You'll never hear this song
You'll never see the movie in my head
But you infest my sleep, and your figure creeps
Through my walls and hums above my bed
I know your name, and that you're photogenic and tall
But I've never heard you talk
And there's something about you
That stabs me right through
CHORUS
It isn't right for me to paint your picture
Every night, but I do (I canít find sleep)
And it feels so wrong (I breathe too deep), to sing this song (into the sky)
But maybe (as I walk and sing), somehow, you'll hear me (you'll hear a song)
And hum along
You'll hum along, you'll hum along, you'll hum along
And I've only seen you once, at your graduation
No cinematic glow or soft rock soundtrack
And I watched you move and breathe and cry
And it felt so wrong
REPEAT CHORUS
Maybe you'd be kidnapped by pirates
And they would take you to their hideout
As pirates often do
But I'd find the secret map
And I would vigilante-bushwhack
Through the jungles of Peru
Just to save you and I'd take you north to Mexico
Where you would tell me your life story on the steps of a Mayan temple
Where we'd camp singing nonsense songs in 12 bars to the jaguars, until you'd sense me
Your eyes convincing, and I would kiss you like a hero in the half-light
Dryer sheets and peach shampoo, the smell of palm leaves, I'd sleep against you
Until the natives found us, but they would crown us king and queen
And we could stay there, spend our days there, eating guava by the sea
And I could understand your views and you could fall in love with me
SOLO
And while the silly human race talks to droids in outer-space
We grow old and laugh about this song
And between the jungle and the stars, you sing nonsense songs in 12 bars to me
And in my sleep I hum along
You'll never hear this song
You'll never see the movie in my head
You'll never see the movie in my head
But you infest my sleep, and your figure creeps

this song is pretty cool. i love the lyrics. anyone else sort of get reminded of a bunch of movies: say anything, star wars, or can't hardly wait and some others?
actually it has nothing to do with that whatsoever.
actually this song is what the lyrics say..he really does meet see this girl at his friends graduation and think about her constantly.. he is so driven to see her agin that he has to write a song about her. he did dream about her and everything in the song lol its really a good song.. im addicted to it obviously if u c my name on here lol.. (i read about this song from him so its all tru..)
I really enjoy this song, it's a nice song to enjoy on a car ride. This is the first song i ever heard of Ludo, i really enjoy. They are gonna be a Warped Tour!!!
iHUMalong, thanks for clearing that up.. ive loved this song since the day i heard it! i get to see these guys at warped tour in STL, and now that i know what the song is about i like it all that much more! thnx! :)
My favorite Ludo song. It shows how a creative person can plumb the depths of their imagination when first infatuated with somebody. It's almost a free-association type thing - from pirates to Mayan temples to Mexico to droids in outer space... Always makes me smile.
i happened to find this song as i was reading the 4th sister hood of the traveling pants book. so it reminds me of that, becuase this one girl is on a dig in the dessert in Turkey. and well yeah.
I love them. They're so creative and funny and awesome. The whole kidnapped by pirates section...brilliant.
this song makes me sad o.0
Kinda like looking at the moon and hoping somene else is looking too...
(that's not really sad is it? Nvm about sad part =]..)
my take on this song depends on whether the first verse happened before the second, or vice versa. because seeing someone at their graduation and falling in love is kinda sweet, but going to the graduation of a girl you love but don't know is creepy...and ludo have several creepy stalker songs as it is :P
not that i don't love them anyway
