Godd (Vocals by Lesly Hendriks) Lyrics

Do you believe in a god that satisfies?
Do you believe in a god that opens eyes?
Do you believe in a god that tells you lies?
Or do you believe in me?

Do you believe in a god that brings you down?
Do you believe in a god that wears a crown?
Do you believe in a god that makes you bow?
Or do you believe in me?

It's satanic.

The character that speaks presents itself as an alternative to God - there are two options, either you believe in God or you believe in 'me'. The God that the character is referring to is clearly the Christian God, judging by the lyrics 'a God that wears a crown' - it's a reference to the crown of thorns. So who is the 'me' character? It's the other option, the alternative to Christ; the Antichrist. He is telling you that God is in fact lying and that you should believe in him instead.

On a deeper level, the song represents the struggle that believers face when discussing their beliefs with other people. 'Come on', they would say, 'you don't believe in a two-thousand year old fairy tale, do you? Do you believe in that God, or do you listen to what I'm saying?' It's easy to get mislead.
