Train Wreck Lyrics

Would your love in all its finery, tear at the darkness all around me...
Until I can feel again,
until I can breathe again?

'Cause I'm a train wreck waiting to happen.
Waiting for someone to come pick me up off the tracks.
A wild fire born of frustration, born of the one love that gets me so high.
I've no fear at all.

Would your eyes, like midnight fireflies, light up the trenches where my heart lies...
Until I can see again, to find my way back again?

Chorus

To fall so deep into you, lose myself completely, in your sweet embrace
all my pain's erased.

From your mouth it's all that I wish, the mercy of your lips, just one kiss...
Until I can breathe again, so that I can sing again.

I disagree completely with that comment. I think it's all about how wonderful someone is to her that he has the power to heal all past wounds simply by touching her. It's about being so truly happy and deeply in love with someone that the whole world is made better because of them.

Absolutely. Shining a light into her darkness, loosing herself, no more fear or pain. One of the most haunting songs I have ever heard and one that gave me hope such a thing exists and could happen to me.

Also the song is rather upbeat..especially their live performance of it. Major chorus lyrics are literally on the upbeat. Happy, Joyful.

this song is obviously about being very frustrated in a relationship.. waiting. She just wants him to come and say all the things she wants and needs him to say.

for me it has nothing to do with relationships.. even though the lyrics are clearly obvious.

to me it seems she's got some hard things going on in her life and she's asking this guy if he can pick her up, or if he's willing to help her, stick around even when things are bad...this is her warning to him

i think she's talking about what she hopes\desires & the warn that she is a wreck is not done to someone specific but more to that someone that hasnt arrive yet. . .
