i love this song. i really like the mellotron in the background. it reminds me of seeing a really old friend for the first time in a while. i know thats not what its really about
this is about a girl telling billy that she dosent need him and him asking her how she can say something ike that and to make sure she thinks about what she's doing.
I agree with The-D, this song has a Pumpkins-like theme (Billy getting his heart broken by "the girl"). Oh, and the lyrics:

are amazing. This is a great song!
on at least one level this seems to be about writing lyrics
