this song is pretty straight up i think. its just talking about how in our wolk of life we get tied to things of sin, and even unaware of it sometimes, we are working for the devil and doing things that please him. and theres no way out of it on our own. the only way to break our ties wth the world is through Jesus Christ.
I agree. We are always in a subtle alliance with evil through our flesh, even when we are unaware of it. Jesus is the only freedom.
