Very under-rated song no clue what its about though.
This is truly one of the greatest songs ever. It was actually a "lost" classic for many years because it was out of print for quite awhile. A few radio stations contiuned to play their vinyl copies of it though, thus keeping the song alive. People would still request it. Finally several years ago it was rereleased on the CD "The Kings Are Here And More".
I was about 3 y/o when this song came out but I love it. My brother and I had a band for many years and this song was in our repetoire.

Is anyone here from Phoenix, AZ? I lived there during college, from 1984-1987. One of the rock stations in Phoenix (I think it was KDKB) would play this at 5pm every Friday afternoon... they had a voice-over by the Kings, in the interlude between halves of the song.... it was something like "Hi we're the Kings, and we're switching to glide for the weekend on 99.3, KDKB!" and then the 2nd half of the song would kick into gear. "Nothing matters but the weekend....". I loved it.

Well I'd think the song is about havin' lotsa people to fool around with. Also how sometimes you can't decide on just one person to be with so you basically go "fuck it, I'm just gonna take it easy" -- swiiiitchhiiin to gliiiide is just about partying and having a good time.
