If we replace "Suspicious Minds" With the original lyric, "Omikron" the song is an introduction to the story of the game David Bowie wrote this song for before rewriting it for his album hours. Omikron: The Nomad Soul is a game about YOU, you take control of a police officer in another dimension by placing your soul in his body in order to investigate unexplained deaths. Over time you solve the mystery and realize that you are not the first soul to be tricked in to going to Omikron, but you are the first to be a Nomad Soul. A Nomad Soul is one with the ability to switch to another person's body after death.

The Meaning: The real meaning here is that you are the new angel of promise. You are here to destroy the evil holding the people in this dystopian city. You are their last and only hope. The people are in despair due to their lives being run by literal demons. Save them Nomad Soul, Only you can.
