Never Let Me Down Lyrics
When I believed in nothing
I called her name
Trapped in a high-dollar joint in some place
I called her name
And though my days are slipping by
And nights so cruel I thought I'd die
She danced her little dance 'till it made me cry
She was shakin' like this honey doing that
When I needed soul revival
I called your name
When I was falling to pieces
I screamed in pain
Your soothing hand that turned me round
A love so real swept over me
You danced your little dance 'till it made me cry
You were shakin' like this honey doing that
Never let me down
She never let me down
Never let me down
She never let me down
When all your faith is failing
Call my name
When you've nothing coming
Call my name
I'll be strong for all it takes
I'll cover your head till the bad stuff breaks
I'll dance my little dance till it makes you smile
Shaking like this honey doing that
Never let you down
I'll never let you down
I'll never let you down
I'll never let you down
I called her name
Trapped in a high-dollar joint in some place
I called her name
And nights so cruel I thought I'd die
She danced her little dance 'till it made me cry
She was shakin' like this honey doing that
I called your name
When I was falling to pieces
I screamed in pain
A love so real swept over me
You danced your little dance 'till it made me cry
You were shakin' like this honey doing that
She never let me down
Never let me down
She never let me down
Call my name
When you've nothing coming
Call my name
I'll cover your head till the bad stuff breaks
I'll dance my little dance till it makes you smile
Shaking like this honey doing that
I'll never let you down
I'll never let you down
I'll never let you down

Soulful. Har har. :]
It's a mediocare song off a bad album. I read that he wrote it with John Lennon in mind.
I love this song! It's so sweet. :)
Wiki: Bowie described the song as a "pivotal" track for himself, calling it the most personal song he'd written for an album to that point in his career. The song is about Bowie's long-time personal assistant, Coco Schwab. Bowie described their relationship, saying:
"It's platonic. But there is a romance in it, I guess, inasmuch as it's hard for two people to feel totally at ease in each other's company for that period of time and not expect too much from each other. Always being prepared to be there if the other one needs someone, you know? There's not many people you find in life that you can do that with, or feel that way with."
Kind of reminds me of that song that John Lennon's song put out around this time....the name escapes me....
Edit: John Lennon's SON put out, not song....lol
