Strings That Tie To You Lyrics

From the wrinkles on my forehead
To the mud upon my shoe
Everything's a memory
With strings that tie to you

In my dream I'm often running
To the place that's out of view
Of every kind of memory
With strings that tie to you

Though a change has taken place
And I no longer do adore her
Still every God forsaken place is always
Right around the corner

Now I know it's either them or me
So I'll bury every clue
And every kind of memory
With strings that tie to you

And every kind of memory
With strings that tie to you

The reason the instrumentals are so short on the album is because they're so short in the movie. The movie never slows down enough for the music, and that's why the music is brilliant... if it was as fast as the movie, it'd be irritating. Instead, it's frustrating that music is slow and then cut away from, which is exactly the purpose the music exists to fill... frustraion. It's brilliant and beautiful at the same time.

such a beautifully composed piece of music.

As almost cheesy as these lyrics could be, they're just a bit too perfect for the mood and the movie and just everything. It's so sad and so pretty.

eternal sunshine of the spotless mind on your couch with your little brother and every thing that followed after that. this song reminds me of the many times i've thought there was no hope for us but it's been a year and i still wish you could be the one who breaks me, but won't.

Memory

No one song defined the past year as this one did. Jon Brion continues to astound me; he is my favorite contemporary composer.

Good song, i love eternal sunshine of the spotless mind

Lovely song and another fine but all too rare example of Brion's abilities as a singer-songwriiter-composer.

The Eternal Sunshine soundtrack is frustrating. I don't think I've heard 59 seconds of more beautiful music than Brion's "Row", but why is it so short? If it was three or four minutes, it would be epic, but at 59 seconds, he's selling listeners short. None of the album's instrumentals go for an acceptable length as far as I'm concerned. If someone knows of extended versions of these songs, let me know please.

i dont have the song to hand but i think i remeber the lyric as being...

In my dream I'm often running To the place that's out of view

We've been force-fed bad music by pop-culture for a while, I'm glad when he makes a soundtrack, it is his way. These tracks arent long because they dont have to be. It seems like we've forgotten that a good song doesnt have to be 4 min long, and a good score doesnt have to be 60 min either.

in the movie the instrumental versions appears in the most emotive moment, when he says to clementine "enjoy it" and starts a serie of mixed images and feellings, is an amazing movie but it doesn't nothing without the music. again sorry my english, its not enough.
