Mr. Moon Lyrics

Mr Moon, Mr Moon, maybe your time is coming
Mr Moon, Mr Moon, what’s happening in that room
Well search your heart, before you die, before your time fades away
It was given as a promise to each and every man

“I wanna love you but I’m growing old
ten little soldiers’ screaming in my soul”
Will she come over when it’s time to go
Come on and show me little drummerboy, Mr Moon

Sad but true, sad but true, you’re telling me what to do
I’ve learned my lesson, that stupid question, now it hurts my pride
And you’re a girl, a serious girl, showing me the world
Oh my love, you’re so tired, but you must think quiet

“I wanna love you…

“I wanna love you but I’m growing old
ten little soldiers’ screaming in my soul”
The day is using up its final breath
I’ve never been so sure I’ve never doubted you, Mr Moon

"A typical fifty-fifty Dixgård/Norén song. I was sitting at home with this great verse… but needed this great chorus… After a little while Gustaf turned up. I played the verse for him and then he said “I´ve got a great chorus for that verse” We tried it and it was magic! The lyrics are just a love song to the good music nothing else…" - Björn Dixgård

ive always thought that in mando diaos album Bring 'em In before or during they wrote it there was some kind of relationship where one of the band members was too old for the girl? maybe im not looking at it deep enough, but it sounds the same way in laurens cathedral

I think this song is about growing up and growing old and how you can't believe in your childhood drams anymore

First this song is one of their first song and they once said that it came out of a mood they were in for some time. But it could also be about Keith Moon from the Who, because one line just says "come on and show me little drummerboy, Mr Moon". The thing with the "ten little soldiers screaming in my soul" Björn once explained, that he was convinced to have ten little soldiers in his head. In "Down in the past" there's also a line going "I got ten little soldiers pointing at you"

noisy mod --> the way i see it, the ten little soldiers represents his two fists. and sure, they might be "in his head", but when the rage takes over in his head, he can calm down through music, i think that's what mr moon's about.

I cant help it but right from the first moment I've heard this song it reminded me of Mr Moonlight by the Beatles. It is pretty similar. I believe they were inspired by that song

The Mr Moon they are singing about is, like noisy_mod said, Keith Moon from the Who. They have confirmed that.
