Julia Lyrics

She's the one that always stands with a smile
She's pure and right and
Bathed in some kind of light
She's sicker than hell, but always feeling fine
The whole thing just makes me wanna cry

Hey hey Julia you're the closest thing to an angel
That I'll ever find
My friend Julia, she hasn't got a clue
But Julia always stay true

Tall as a mountain, but yet so fine
Her feet never touch ground
But that's all right
I don't understand what they're doing to her
I wanna scream she's not too good to be true

Every thing is gonna be fine
You're gonna be all right

I'm not "sure", BUT I'm "pretty sure" that this song was written about a friend of Patricia's who may be in a wheelchair, and/or possibly very ill. It's a beautiful song. Just because someone is different (either physically or mentally challenged) doesn't mean they're not beautiful. And it's so important to have friends who believe that and support you.

i never saw it that way before Jimmy Gordon, that's a good insight... it could also be about terminal illness, and the line "She's sicker than hell, but always feeling fine" reminds me of my friend who suffers from depression but often won't admit to this or open herself to anyone... sometimes she says she feels "sick" when she feels depressed. The more i think about it, the more your meaning makes sense "My friend Julia, she hasn't got a clue But Julia always stay true"... anyhoo, i like the way (if that is the case) that it challenges conventional ideas about beauty, and i love the part close to the end "Every thing is gonna be fine/You're gonna be all right"...so reassuring, yet the whole song is a little bit unsettingly spooky.

Someone told me it was about her friends boobs...

I always think it's about a friend of hers that falls for the wrong types of guys, and she thinks that's all that she deserves but always keeps her head up even if they beat the crap out of her all the time.
