it's such a great song to sing about when something gets you down. really I mean it.
Though there\'s still plenty of typical Dead Milkmen humor, there\'s definitely traces of legitimate sadness underneath these lyrics. That last verse is actually pretty heavy stuff, especially considering the suicide of bassist Dave Blood last year.
I personally think that this song is about two guys who are under the influence of drugs in order to find some artistic inspiration on what "bright and new" songs they wright should be about, yet all they get from their trip is the fact that "life is shit". (P.S. The Dead Milkmen rock!)
