browne and the eagles glen frey both wrote it, and it appeared as tracks in both artists albums that year
I like this one more.
I do to. The Eagles' version may be a little harder rockin', but this one has a truer feeling to it.
I also adore the pedal Steel solo that leads into lady of the well. I've always considered the songs a medley of sorts.

I like both fairly evenly, becuz of the banjo in the Eagles version played by Bernie Leadon, and the Jackson vocals - it's pretty cool that in some of Jackson's versions of this, he sings "She's just a little hard to find" instead of "She's so hard to find" - obviously this is one of his lines and not from Glenn Frey
