My Autumn's Done Come Lyrics
Kiss all the pretty ones goodbye
Give everyone a penny that cries
You can throw all my tranquil pills away
Let my blood pressure go on its way
For my autumn's done come
My autumn's done come. Done come
Let those 'I-don't-care-days' begin
I'm tired of holding my stomach in
No more slinky Vogue dolls for me
I'll take Sears & Roebuck dollars gladly
For my autumn's done come
My autumn's done come. Done come
Bring me water short and scotch tall
A big long black cigar that ain't all
Hang me a hammock between two big trees
Leave me alone, damn it, Let me do as I please
For my autumn's done come
My autumn's done come. Done come
Give everyone a penny that cries
You can throw all my tranquil pills away
Let my blood pressure go on its way
For my autumn's done come
My autumn's done come. Done come
I'm tired of holding my stomach in
No more slinky Vogue dolls for me
I'll take Sears & Roebuck dollars gladly
For my autumn's done come
My autumn's done come. Done come
A big long black cigar that ain't all
Hang me a hammock between two big trees
Leave me alone, damn it, Let me do as I please
For my autumn's done come
My autumn's done come. Done come

To have loved so much that we become so disgusted with it that we drift fearing to slip into a downward spiral : a recurring theme at various times. The melody has been sampled, even sublimated in different songs, whether it is Alpha's "Sometime Later" and "Somewhere Not Here", Gry and F.M. Einheit's "Ghost" or $uicideboy$' "Kill Yourself Part IV" : all of them going through a sample chain.
There, we are very far from spring and its sweet follies, from summer and its exalted passions. This song describes the atmosphere mentioned above : we are in the post-breakup depression, the month of October, really the most melancholy of the year. And then we extend onto November, a month to have one lit up (chestnut of course). Not the strength to go to meetings, nor the desire to mess around for the sole purpose of leaving misfortune. Just thinking about it, you feel the appetite go, no longer want to play. Then comes the string solo announcing in a way the finale : "serve me a drink, I want to relax" but above all : "leave me alone, please, you do it so well". The rhythm is soft, as much as it is all along.
A good track to listen to after a long writing session and, what's more, 10 hours of sleep.
