This has to be one of my favorite Evanescece songs. It has an awesome melody to it.

This song is awesome. I love the part when amy and the guy sing "you can't abandon me. you belong to me." I could see this song on their next album.

When I read these lyrics I can't think of anything but a girl who is so incredibly in love with a boy that all she wants is for this boy to understand and realize that and stop denying that they must be together. I think of the two not being able to be together in life because of certain reasons and the boy tries to deny his love for her because he knows it is impossible to be together in life. So the girl kills the boy, herself overcome with such obsession, and then kills herself, so that in death she can finally have him and she is telling him to stop denying it and to stop running because there is no longer any point to running since now they can be together.

Huh...I kind of like iliveformusic11's reason, but I doubt it. I think it's more of somebody loves somebody but that somebody either doesn't love him/her or is in denial, and the one in love is saying that person can't escape their love...it seems as if they have him captured or something.

I've never heard this song, but I love this band, and by reading these lyrics it seems like this song is about a girl who broke up with a boy. The boy finally realized that they can be together one more time, and when gets back with her, she becomes obsessed with him and loves him a little too much.

Romantically, there are those who have the urge to merge. She wants to become one with him, but he is one of the other types who see love as a pleasant diversion. I'm not saying that either of these views are correct, though I've been known to take the former, probably less healthy view. But when have someone and you want them strong enough you can absorb part of them and merge against their will. Bad karma though.

I like iliveformusic's thoughts too - but maybe the boy still lives... she has taken her life and its her spirit now obsessing him. (shades of My Immortal). Alternatively, maybe it's just a good old fashioned vampire song, girl bites boy and turns him, he goes into denial but she tells him it's useless to resist. Whatever the real meaning...his number's up! She has him.

I totally agree with iliveformusic I don't necessarily think that she's killed herself. But she's saying that he can't try and petend he doesn't love her. She wants to be merged with him. She's telling him to stop running from her love, coz she'll win eventually. In death they'll b together 2.
