Let Me Be Lyrics
Let me be now let me be
I want to be free now free to see
I want to walk away let me feel my feet
Let me be free
Time and time and time we see
These acts against humanity
Each for each and each will bleed
And shed blood for what they each believe
On and on and on we go
Some will you see and some won’t be
True to you and truth will lead
You to a sense of peace
I want to be free now free to see
I want to walk away let me feel my feet
Let me be free
These acts against humanity
Each for each and each will bleed
And shed blood for what they each believe
On and on and on we go
Some will you see and some won’t be
True to you and truth will lead
You to a sense of peace

Extremely self explanatory
Love this song. Definitley his best work as of yet.
just so beachy! and catchy. great pick me up too driving home from a doddgy days work =)
hes just beautiful... nothing is better than listening to xavier... so uplifting
The song is about peace, and as squid said, self explanatory. And for those who have never seen Rudd live, you got to check him out. Great to listen to, better live.
this song is so pure and simple
i love this song... i think i need to get some more of xavier into me... I havnt heard much yet
this song went off at his concert, which really pissed me off because while it is a funky song, he has done so much better work where the lyrics are about social and environmental awareness , such as Messages, but they don't get as much credit. dargh! all the tenny poppers next to us didn't know the words to any song at his concert except this one.. i wanted to slap them so hard! losers
Well teenyboppers are growing up; maybe someday they will like the other more meaningful songs! I'm sure most of us have been there... anyway, this is a simple, self-explanatory song about the problems of the world (war and peace etc.). I love the didgeridoo part! And how Xavier seems to be into the aboriginal culture. That's so cool.
I agree with coffeekat...we've all been there. i look at myself today and i'm totally different than i was even a year ago. i can also see where deathcab is coming from, sometimes it is frusturating when you love someone and all there songs and then you have a whole bunch of people who just love the one song...anyway, never heard xavier live, hopefully someday! love all his stuff
