American't Lyrics
The land of the free
The home, the deprived
For years just sat back while others were asleep
But now the times are changing
Are you gonna stay the same?
We change the point of view while you point the blame on me
on me on me on...
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
Without your lies, without your lies
We take responsibility for things that you say
away you push it off, push it off on someone like me
Someone who cares just a little too much
You're using just another fucking crutch like me
Like me like me like me...
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
Without your lies, without your lies...
Lies...
The home, the deprived
For years just sat back while others were asleep
But now the times are changing
Are you gonna stay the same?
We change the point of view while you point the blame on me
on me on me on...
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
Without your lies, without your lies
away you push it off, push it off on someone like me
Someone who cares just a little too much
You're using just another fucking crutch like me
Like me like me like me...
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
You're nothing, nothing, nothing without your lies
Without your lies, without your lies...
Lies...

why hasnt anyone posted anything about this song?? i love yellowcard. this song just kinda says about things going on in america lately ... i dont know the lyrics are good though...
AWESOME SONG! F*CK BUSH! -rock out- kayla
i think hes talking about the current president . not sure , it just sounds like hes being used as a pawn .
this song sucks...crappy, repetetive, elementary lyrics...bush haters are blind and too idealistic...that's my 2 cents.
interpretthis, i share your sentiments exactly ;)
ok I love Yellowcard... But im am also a big Bush fan, does anybody else notice that all these music artist and movie and t.v. stars are against Bush What is up with that. is it that they are too afraid that a draft is gonn astart and they might get drafted and be taken away from their rich fabulouse lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song is not about Bush! This song was off their first album "Midget Tossing." It was released in 1997 or 1998. A couple of years before Bush was in office. Just wanted to clear that up. This is a great song, showing Yellowcard in their punk days.
music artists and actors don't like bush because they're music artists and actors(A.K.A. LIBERAL!!! arts).but the draft was a stupid ass idea but everyone knew it would never actually happen. anyway, the lryics to this could be a little more mature, but they still get the point across, and the music behind them is very close to real punk. pretty good stuff.
I love how people are against Bush so much that they have to say F*CK BUSH b/c they live in their ignorant lives. "Bush did it for oil" Yeah either that or the fact that Saddam had mass graves from where he was killing his own people and had weapons that he was banned from having. "But we didn't find any WMD" So what we brought down a tyrant and are giving those people a shot at freedom. The liberal media if FUBAR. They will never talk about or show anything that might show how the Iraqi people appreciate what we are doing. Oh no there is no shock factor in that. I'm sure someone will reply with there CNN bullsh!t but oh well you go take in all that CNN and other liberal media has to offer you. Oh yeah and John Kerry is for the lower classes....hahaha....then why does he have to fly in on a private jet from the Bahamas to go to a filibuster. We call those limosine liberals.
I realized that I wasn't to clear about John Kerry. The point is that what can he possibly know about the common man if he is always being chauffeured everywhere and doesn't really know what work really is. As is the case with most elected officials. Thats for both republicans and democrats. I'm not trying to be ultra-conservative but I support what our president is doing.
